Illegal Motives

xxxxxThe year of 2003 is winning year for punk republic in Indonesia, and of course in Jogjakarta as well. That was when Artzex played in Potato Family as a vocalist and guitarist, while Agib competed in pop-punk band named Paprika as a drummer.
In the meantime, the first formation of Illegal Motives ( Dimex as a drummer; Hasta as a vocalist and guitarist; Stanley as a vocalist and bassist ) tasted the pride of becoming the opening band for Superman is Dead in Jogja Rock City concert.
Got bored with their own band, the three decided to make the new band besides of their own previous band. Then, with Dress Manasa added on guitar position, they made a band called “Making Love” that didn’t work well because…errr…maybe the name was too hot.
By the end of 2004, Illegal Motives started to ruin out with the coming of new bassist. The first formation of Illegal motives was broke out and finally just left Dimex in the band. Making Love was getting frustrated with its stagnantion. Agib and Artzex also didn’t going good with their previous band. All of that stuff then brought Artzex, Agib and Dimex to live the new Illegal Motives plus Gilang as keyboardist. Then the new Illegal Motives was born; the declaration of the bond of Melodic Punk and Grunge was signed fully with forbearing friendship. It became the act of their dreams and hopes to participate in the history of Indonesian and world music.
